Tiffany Joy Argonza: Empowering Women to Take Up Space
Tiffany Joy Argonza is the visionary founder of The Studio Ligaya, a dynamic space for fitness, wellness, and community in Metuchen, New Jersey. A proud 1st generation Filipina-American, Tiffany’s journey from corporate professional to entrepreneur is one of resilience, reinvention, and breaking barriers.
For over a decade, Tiffany built a successful career in the corporate world, supporting top executives in the pharmaceutical and telecom industries. Yet, even as she excelled, she felt the weight of unfulfilled purpose. After becoming a mother, Tiffany faced postpartum depression—a deeply isolating experience that left her searching for support, understanding, and community. Despite her struggles, she continued working full-time while caring for her young son, juggling the demands of career and motherhood.
Everything changed when Tiffany was unexpectedly laid off from her corporate job. What could have been a devastating blow became a pivotal moment of clarity. Tiffany chose to take a leap of faith and follow a passion that had always been calling her: creating a space where women could prioritize their health, connect with others, and feel empowered to take up space.
The decision was far from easy. As a Filipina-American, Tiffany had long navigated the cultural expectations of pursuing a "practical" career, and the stigmas surrounding her educational journey, which began at county college. But Tiffany knew her path was different. She wanted to break traditional norms and prove that success doesn’t have to look the same for everyone. Her mission was clear: to empower women from underrepresented communities to redefine wellness, embrace their unique stories, and step boldly into their power.
In 2023, Tiffany opened The Studio Ligaya, a sanctuary for women to improve their overall wellness through movement, connection, and celebration. The studio offers perinatal strength training, group fitness classes, community events, and venue rentals for life’s milestones—all designed to foster joy, connection, and empowerment. Here, women are guided through the physical and mental movements necessary to reclaim their strength, build confidence, and take control of their health.
Tiffany’s story is one of transformation and purpose. From facing the challenges of postpartum depression to taking a leap of faith after a corporate layoff, she turned her struggles into a source of inspiration for others. Today, The Studio Ligaya stands as a testament to the power of community, the courage to defy expectations, and the importance of carving out space for oneself.
Through The Studio Ligaya, Tiffany continues to uplift women, helping them prioritize their wellness and rewrite their stories. Her mission is not just to guide women through movement but to empower them to break barriers, challenge norms, and create paths filled with love, light, and ligaya.
